About Us:
Tammie Stanton has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2007 and has owned her own studio in Perth Road Village since 2008. As a athletic minded person from childhood, it was a natural progression to get into racing in her adult years to keep fit, motivated and release those competitive juices. Competing in everything from 5k's to triathlons, and in recent years Adventure Racing, and won 2 Gold medals in 2014 as a coed team of 2, with her Husband, an avid mountain biker and Level 1 PMBI instructor. With their 4 children and running a studio, life is busy, but there is always time to train and race. With over 30 races and 800km under her belt, Directing a race is simply the next big Adventure!
Michelle McShane competed in her first race, the Kingston Triathlon in 2008, and was hooked the moment she crossed the finish line. She discovered Adventure Racing the following year, and has competed in multiple races every year since, including a 30 hour race (currently training for her 3rd go at it!) After years as an outdoor educator and wilderness guide, Michelle is currently employed at Trailhead in Kingston ON. as a Manager, Buyer and Paddling Instructor. With her love of racing, and getting people outside, directing an Adventure Race seemed like a natural progression. Raising her 2 boys with husband Shawn in the country North of Kingston, she is passing on her spirit of Adventure and respect of the environment.
Michelle and Tammie, both want to introduce more people to the sport of Adventure Racing and racing in general and want to encourage all those, especially those that may feel it's out of reach, to come have fun and enjoy the beautiful location for The C.A.T!
